Our story

.

PUREGLAM Foundation began with a simple moment that turned into a bigger purpose.

During a hair magazine photo shoot, we had a group of young girls who were so excited to get their hair done, dress up, and feel glamorous in front of the camera. As I watched their faces light up, one thought stayed with me:

“They don’t even know that their real beauty is already inside of them.”

That moment planted the seed for PUREGLAM Foundation.

I wanted girls to know that beauty is more than hair, clothes, or what you see in the mirror. True beauty comes from confidence, self-worth, strength, and knowing who you are.

What started as one special moment became a journey to encourage and empower young girls to recognize their worth, build confidence, and prepare for their future.

Today, PUREGLAM Foundation continues that mission through mentorship, community programs, and support for young women transitioning into adulthood.

Because at PUREGLAM, we believe having confidence is true beauty.

The Impact we want to make!

If PUREGLAM Foundation is wildly successful, young girls will grow up knowing their worth before the world has a chance to define it for them.

They will have confidence, positive role models, and a safe place to be heard, supported, and encouraged. They will learn life skills that prepare them for adulthood and help them make healthy choices for their future.

For young women transitioning into adulthood, success means having more than a place to stay. It means having the support and guidance to become independent, continue their education, find meaningful employment, manage their finances, and create a stable life of their own.

Our greatest impact will be seeing young women walk away from PUREGLAM believing in themselves, prepared for their future, and ready to become leaders in their families and communities.

We want every young woman we serve to know: you are worthy, you are capable, and your future is yours to create.

Our core beliefs

At PUREGLAM Foundation, we believe every girl deserves to know her worth, have someone believe in her, and have the opportunity to build a future she is proud of.

Our work is guided by a few simple beliefs:

Confidence starts within
True beauty is more than what you see on the outside. We encourage girls to recognize their inner beauty, build confidence, and believe in themselves.

Every girl deserves support
No young person should have to figure life out alone. We believe in providing positive mentors, guidance, resources, and a safe space to grow.

Proper growth means the most
Growth takes time, support, accountability, and the right environment. We meet young people where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.

Preparation creates opportunity
We believe young women should be prepared for real life. From education and employment to financial literacy, healthy relationships, and independent living, we want them to have the tools for success.

Meet our founder, Lakeisha Alexander

PUREGLAM Foundation was founded by a woman who believes that every girl deserves to know her worth and have someone in her corner encouraging her along the way.

As the Founder and Visionary of PUREGLAM Foundation, her passion comes from personal experiences and years of working with young people in the community. She understands how important confidence, guidance, support, and positive role models can be during the years when young women are discovering who they are.

The vision for PUREGLAM began during a hair magazine photo shoot. Watching young girls become excited about getting their hair done and feeling glamorous sparked a powerful thought: their true beauty was already inside of them.

That moment grew into a mission.

Today, she is passionate about creating opportunities for girls and young women to build confidence, recognize their value, learn important life skills, and have the support they need as they grow into adulthood.
